![Speed 스피드 서울시무용단 2025년 시즌 첫 작품 한국춤의 리듬과 속도의 변화에서 찾은 새로운 흐름 '장구'는 한국음악에서 리듬과 속도를 주도하는 악기로 한국춤의 기본이 되는 장단을 만들어 내며 우리 춤과 매우 밀접하다. <스피드>는 이 '장구'를 재조명하는 작품으로 장단 사이를 넘나드는 장구의 다채로운 리듬이 엮어내는 속도의 변화가 몸의 폭발적인 움직임을 어떻게 이끌어 낼 수 있는지 보여준다. 특히 LED 영상의 이미지와 무용수의 움직임이 교차하는 초현실적인 무대 연출은 한국 컨템퍼러리 댄스의 새로운 이정표가 될 것이다. Seoul Metropolitan Dance Theatre presents its first work of the 2025 season, redefining the boundaries of Korean dance with 'Janggu', a traditional Korean drum. A Janggu is very closely related to Korean dance. Rooted in the rhythmic foundation of Jangdan, the Janggu drum evolves through dynamic beats, weaving colorful rhythms into powerful movements of Korean dance. Surreal LED visuals flood the stage, transforming it into an immersive, almost virtual realm where light and movement converge. The special stage with exceptional Korean dancers pushes the limits of expression, and their masterful movements embody the essence of Korean dance. 공연 세부내용 춤의 시작에 장구의 장단이 있다. 장구의 몸통 형상에서부터 추출한 모래시계 이미지를 활용하여 시간과 공간과 속도의 문제를 무대 위에 올린다. 장구는 전통이 현대로 이어져온 시간의 흐름을 상징하는 '시계'가 되어 절대적이지 않은 시간의 흐름을 담는다. 가속으로 치닫는 움직임의 끝에서 지구의 중력을 벗어나 우주공간으로 뻗어나가는 움직임이 펼쳐지면서 가속, 그 이후의 세계를 상상한다. Introduction At the beginning of Korean Dance, there is the rhythm [Jangdan] of the Janggu. By using 'Janggu' as a medium to express the changing speed of movement, which creates a sense of contemporaneity in Korean dance, we aim to view our dance from a new perspective. An hourglass image, inspired by the shape of the Janggu, brings the concepts of time, space, and speed onto the stage. The Janggu serves as a "clock" symbolizing the passage of time from tradition to modernity, encapsulating a flow of time that is not absolute.
