Making of Journey and Meeting of the Diplomatic Mission
The journey of the Joseon Tongsinsa, a delegation of hundreds sent to Edo, remains
a poignant record of diplomacy and cultural exchange, traversing both sea and land.
In this making-of film, artist Jean-Julien Pous and his team share the behind-the-scenes process of bringing this historical moment to life through
animation. They reflect on the tools, techniques, and creative decisions that shaped
their work. Join them on a creative journey across time and space.
