“일상 곳곳에, 우리 음악”

국악 그리고 국악 예술가들이 먼 곳에 있는 것이 아닌 우리 일상 가까운 곳에 늘 함께 하고 있다는 메시지를 전달하고자 연주 장면과 일상적인 장면을 교차 구성하였다

본 영상에 삽입된 음악은 작곡가 양승환이 이번 영상을 위해 새로 작곡한 국악관현악 [날개]이다. 이 작품은 크게 세 부분으로 구성되어 있는데 첫번째 부분은 가야금이 riff 형태로 반복되면서 악기들이 하나씩 쌓이는 구조로 되어있으며, 전통음악 중 민속악과 정악적인 어법을 현대적인 감성으로 풀어냈다. 또한 각 악기들의 솔로 프레이즈를 통해서 국악기들을 소개한다. 두 번째 단락에서는 동해안 별신굿 삼오장 장단 중 빨라지는 부분에서 착안한 것으로 가야금 테마 선율 위에 다른 악기들이 쌓이는 구조로 구성하였으며 절정으로 치닫는 형식으로 전개된다. 마지막 부분은 첫 번째 부분의 테마가 다시 반복되면서 태평소 등의 악기가 새로 출현한다. 악기의 선율과 리듬이 하나 둘씩 쌓여 하나의 웅장한 국악관현악을 만들어내는 것에 주목해보면 음악과 영상의 멋을 더욱 만끽할 수 있을 것이다. 

“Everywhere around us, our music”

The scene of playing Gugak and daily scenes have been cross created in order to show the message that the Gugak and Gugak artists are not far away from us but are near and close to our daily life.

The music contained in this video is titled ‘Nalgae (wing)“, which is Gugak orchestral music which is newly composed for this video by composer Yang Seung-Hwan. This work is mainly made of three parts. The first part has the structure where the musical instruments are stacked one by one while the Gayageum is played repeatedly in the form of riff, thus interpreting the traditional music of Folk Music and Court Music in a modern emotional way. In addition, the traditional Korean musical instrument is introduced through the solo phrase of each musical instrument. The second part gets the idea of concept from the fast part of the samojang jangdan in the donghaean byeolsingut, having the structure where other musical instruments are stacked on the musical piece of Gayageum, which developed into the climax. In the last part, the first part’s theme is repeated again with the musical instrument Taepyeongso reappearing. If you put attention to how the melody and rhythm of musical instruments are stacked one by one to make one grand Gugak orchestral music, you would feel more of the music and beauty of the Gugak orchestral music.
