Gilieum is a communication space connecting the region community with young people at their standard.

00:18 눈높이 공간 Space at children’s eye-level

청년 공간 같은 경우는 가변형으로 쓰실 수 있도록 공간을 좀 크게 설계하는데, 청년들이 좋아하시는 인테리어 경향이 있습니다. 그런 것들을 살려서 적용을 하고 있습니다. 

In the case of the youth space, we design the space slightly larger so that it can be used in multiple ways. Though young people have an interior style they like. We took these points into consideration and apply onto furniture design and material selection.

02:21 낡은 집에서 열린 공간으로 From an old house to an open space

공간이 전체적으로 열려 있기 때문에 마당이 무대가 될 수도 있고 또 실내 공간이 무대가 될 수도 있고 영화 관람을 하실 때도 아주 적절한 공간으로 활용하실 수 있습니다.

Because this space is wide open as a whole, the yard can be a stage, or the indoor space can be a stage. It can also be a very good space for watching a movie.

03:51 지역과 함께 하는 소통 공간 A space for communicating with the local community

1년여 만에 이 공간에 다시 와봤는데 거리 자체가 활기차고 아주 밝아졌다는 느낌을 받았습니다.

작은 점 같은 공공시설이 주변에 얼마나 파급효과를 주는지를 아주 크게 깨닫게 된 그런 프로젝트였습니다.

I revisited after a year. I felt the street itself was lively and very bright. How much ripple effect of a public facility can give to its surroundings, I realized significantly through this project.
