자막

서울은 세계 여타 대도시들에 비해 월등히 넓은 면적의 하천과 산을 가지고 있습니다. 개발 가능한 대지는 한정적인 반면 개발압력이 강해 서울의 하천과 산은 도시의 빈 공간으로서 또 다른 가능성을 갖습니다.
Compared to other major cities in the world, a much higher proportion of Seoul’s area is covered by rivers and mountains. These constraints limit the land that can be developed even though the development pressure is high. But these landforms need not be restrictive; as voids in the city, the liminal spaces they create can also present new opportunities.

본 전시는 도시 내 빈 공간의 잠재성을 재인식하고, 이를 바탕으로 서울이 새로운 단계로 도약하게 하는 다양한 전략들을 제시하고자 합니다. 우리는 하천과 산의 빈 공간을 채우지 않으면서 그곳에 활력을 부여할 수 있는 다양한 방법들을 모색했습니다.
This exhibition aims to unearth the potential of unoccupied spaces in the city and based on the findings, to present strategies for Seoul to improve its cityscape.
