[무르익 Mur Ik]

‘무르익’은 거문고, 해금, 장구로 이루어진 팀으로 2021년 결성되었다. 

‘무르익'은 과일이나 곡식이 충분히 익는다는 뜻의 '무르익다'에서 따온 어원으로 

시기를 거듭할수록 성숙되어가는 전통음악을 잘 표현하는 말이라고 생각하여 이름 지었다. 

’무르익‘은 서로 다른 울림에 귀 기울이고 에너지를 나누는 과정을 통해 

전통음악을 이루는 무궁무진한 가능성을 보여주는 팀이다. 

’무르익‘은 이번 프로젝트를 시작으로 꾸준한 연구와 활동을 통해 

전통음악의 다양화에 기여하며 음악이 무르익어가는 과정을 겪어나갈 예정이다. 

Formed in 2021, Mur Ik consists of a “geomungo” zitherist, a “haegeum” zitherist and a “janggu” drummer. 

Its members named their team after a Korean word “murikda” (to ripen; to become mature), 

believing that traditional music, just like fruits and crops, becomes more mature with time. 

By listening to different voices and sounds as well as sharing each other’s energy, 

the members have shown great potential in traditional music. 

Starting with this project, Mur Ik will steadily conduct research and 

activities to contribute to the diversification of traditional music 

while experiencing the ripening process of its music.

[곡소개 Work Description]

지영희류 해금산조 해금&거문고 병주 Ji Yeong-hui Style Haegeum Sanjo Duo - Haegeum & Geomungo

지영희류 해금 산조는 지영희가 스승 지용구의 기틀에 새로운 가락을 첨가하여 엮은 산조로 훗날 최태현이 그 가락을 정리하여 전해지는 산조이다. 

경기 시나위 예능보유자인 지영희는 경기 시나위와 경기 풍류를 산조의 바탕으로 두었다. 

덕분에 지영희류 해금 산조는 경기 시나위제와 경드름 경조 등의 경기 가락의 선율이 첨가되어 화사하고 부드러운 선율 진행을 보인다.

이 작품에서는 지영희류 해금산조의 섬세하고 간드러지는 맛과 거문고의 중후한 성음이 함께 어우러짐으로써 더욱 풍성한 음악으로 표현해 보았다.

“Ji Yeong-hui Style Haegeum Sanjo Duo - Haegeum & Geomungo” is free-style solo music (“sanjo”) composed by Ji Yeong-hui who added new melodies to the music of his master Ji Yong-gu. Later, it was restored by Choe Tae-hyeon. A “Gyeonggi sinawi” practitioner, Ji Yeong-hui based his sanjo music on Gyeonggi sinawi and “Gyeonggi pungnyu.” Thus, “Ji Yeong-hui Style Haegeum Sanjo” features a colorful and smooth melodic progression with the addition of the tunes of Gyeonggi music such as “Gyeonggi sinawije” and “Gyeongdeureum.”

In this piece, the delicate and graceful quality of “Ji Yeong-hui Style Haegeum Sanjo” mingle with the sonorous sound of the “Geomungo” zither to create a rich musical experience.

안동 체화정 Chehwajeong Pavilion

안동 체화정은 경상북도 안동시 풍산읍 상리2리에 있는 조선시대의 정자 건축물이다. 

2019년 12월 30일 대한민국의 보물 제2051호로 지정되었다. 

1761년(영조 37)에 창건하여 만포 이민적이 학문을 닦고 형인 이민정과 함께 기거하면서 형제간의 우의를 돈독히 한 장소로도 유명하다. 

정자 이름인 ‘체화’는 형제간의 화목과 우의를 의미한다고 한다.

Chehwajeong Pavilion is an architecture built during the Joseon Dynasty, which is located at Sangri-2-ri, Pungsan-eup, Andong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. It was designated as Korea's Treasure No. 2,051 on December 30, 2019. Founded in 1761 (the 37th year of King Yeongjo's reign), the pavilion is famous as a place where Confucius scholar Lee Min-jeok (pen name: Manpo) studied while living with his brother Lee Min-jeong and strengthening their brotherhood. The building's name, “Chehwa,” is said to mean brotherly harmony and affection.
