두 개의 몸, 하나의 춤 
서울시무용단은 올 한 해 동안 신작과 레퍼토리를 잇달아 성공적으로 선보이며, 한국 춤이 동시대 예술의 언어로 얼마나 강력하게 작동할 수 있는지를 실연해왔습니다. 그 흐름의 끝에서 선보이는 올해 마지막 프로그램 “안무가 랩: 듀오”는 무용단 내부의 창작 감각에 주목합니다. 서로 다른 경험과 감각을 지닌 단원들이 안무가로 참여하여, ‘두 개의 몸’이라는 가장 본질적인 무대 구성을 통해 ‘하나의 움직임’으로 수렴하는 춤의 원형을 탐미합니다.

춤, 은 여기서 거대한 서사나 완결된 이미지라기 보단, 몸과 몸 사이에서 생성되는 호흡과 긴장, 시간의 축적, 전이되는 에너지 그 자체이겠지요. 어제와 내일, 개성과 포용의 결이 한 무대에 포개지며, 한국 춤이 지금도 어떻게 변화하고 확장되는지 선명하게 확인할 수 있는 생생한 현재의 순간.

Two bodies, One dance 
This year, the Seoul Metropolitan Dance Theatre has successively and successfully presented a series of new works and repertory productions, demonstrating how powerfully Korean dance can operate as a contemporary artistic language. Concluding this trajectory, the final program of the year, Choreographer Lab: Duo, turns its focus inward, highlighting the creative sensibilities of the company’s own dancers. Each performer, drawing from distinct experiences and embodied perspectives, takes on the role of choreographer to explore the most essential theatrical structure—two bodies—and the ways in which they converge into a single movement.

 
Here, dance is not a grand narrative or a perfected image, but rather the breath, tension, accumulation of time, and transferring energy that emerge between bodies. As layers of past and future, individuality and shared expression overlap on stage, we encounter a vivid present in which Korean dance continues to transform and expand.
