상세소개

서울시국악관현악단 수석·부수석 단원들로 구성된 SMTO 앙상블이 선보이는 실내악 무대. 농부, 어부, 대장장이, 소금장수 등 전통 직업군에 얽힌 민요와 노동요를 현대적 실내악으로 재해석한다. 밝고 생동감 있는 리듬 속에 고된 노동을 해학으로 승화시킨 민중의 삶을 담아내며, 국악기의 섬세한 표현과 연주자 간 호흡이 돋보인다. 대편성 공연에서 느낄 수 없는 친밀함과 집중도를 살려, 관객과 함께 공감하고 즐길 수 있는 새로운 국악 실내악의 매력을 전한다. Chamber Music Series: Work Songs Presented by the SMTO Ensemble, composed of the principal and associate principal members of the Seoul Metropolitan Traditional Orchestra, this program reinterprets folk songs and work songs associated with traditional occupations—including farmers, anglers, blacksmiths, and salt merchants-into contemporary chamber music. This performance captures the life of the common people who transformed hard labor into humor, carried by bright, lively rhythms in which the delicate expressivity of traditional instruments and the close musical interplay among the performers stand out. With an intimacy and focus not found in large-scale orchestral settings, the performance offers a chamber music experience all audiences can relate to and enjoy.
