1. Position & Qualification

○ Position

○ Minimum Qualifications

 - No restrictions due to educational background, gender, or region.

 - Must abide by the ‘Retirement Age Regulation’ of the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra(herinafter referred as SPO), candidate who is less then 60 years old. (Note: Age will be counted based on the date of the official effective date.)

 - All domestic and international applications are eligible.

 - Male applicants with Korean citizenship must have been discharged or exempted from military service. (Note: Age will be counted based on the date of the official effective date.)

 - Applicants who are not subjected to the SPO’s ‘16th Article of Operating Regulation’.

○ 1st Round Audition: Expected on March 24, 2024 [Note: The venue would be the rehearsal room of SPO building in the 5th floor]

○ Successful candidate announcement of the 1st round audition: Expected on March 25, 2024 [Note: Official Website notification & Individual Notification]

○ 2nd Round Audition: Expected on March 26, 2024 [Note: The venue would be the rehearsal room of SPO building in the 5th floor]

○ Successful candidate announcement of the 2nd Round audition: Expected on March 26, 2024 [Note: Official Website notification & Individual Notification]

○ Final Round Audition: Expected on March 27, 2024 [Note: The venue would be the rehearsal room of SPO building in the 5th floor]

  ※Note: Recruitment timetable could be adjusted according to the circumstances, and due to the result of the recruitment process, there could be an successful preliminary candidate.

○ Effective date for successful candidates: Expected on April 22, 2024

○ Probation Period: After the 1 year probation period from the effective date is completed, the final applicant's full-time contract will be determined by a probation period evaluation.

  ※Note: Though, based on the result of probation period evaluation, the probation period could be extended within 1 year.

3. Detailed Information of Recruitment Evaluation

○ Applicable Affirmative Actions

 - Based on the 「Act on the employment promotion and vocational rehabilitation of persons with disabilities」 applicant who qualifies the required condition shall receive additional benefit in document screening process. (Note: 5% of perfect score)

  ※Note: Supporting documents to prove the qualification must be provided

 - Based on the 「Act on the honorable treatment of and support for persons of distinguished service to the state」, applicants eligible to receive assistance with employment shall receive additional benefit. (Note: 5% or 10% of perfect score)

  ※Note: According to the , as the number of recruiting in this recruitment is less than three people, WE WILL NOT APPLY ADDITIONAL BENEFITS ABOVE DESCRIBED. Though, if there are applicants with tie-result, applicant who is eligible to receive assistance with employment, will be given priority.

4. Applying & Required documents

(A) Information for Applying

(B) How to Apply

○ Submit the application online on the SPO recruiting website.

 - To be written in Korean with foreign applicants able to submit in English.

 - Application form cannot be submitted via email or any other methods.

(C) Audition repertoire

○ Infer the  (1st, 2nd, Final Round Audition)

 - The practice score of the audition repertoire will be registered on the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra website on January 29, 2024. (Attached Document no.04)

 - For the 2nd Round audition, applicants must perform with piano accompaniment in person.

5. Blind Recruiting & Other Information

○ SPO upholds the standard of blind recruitment.

○ The schedule above may be adjusted due to the internal situations. If changes occur, the adjustment will be posted on the SPO website. If an applicant has already submitted their application, they will be notified via email.

○ Application forms must be submitted in Korean with the exception of foreign applicants are able to submit in English.

○ Salary will be determined according to the SPO’s internal regulations.

○ If there are no adequate candidates, SPO reserves the right to not hire any of the candidates for certain positions.

○ The completion and accuracy of all submitted application materials are the sole responsibility of the applicant. Any negative effects from applicants not having submitted all the necessary materials or of their materials not being accurate will not be the responsibility of the SPO.

○ All notices will be sent via email so please make sure to submit a valid e-mail address that is checked regularly.

○ Due to the surge of submissions on the day of the application deadline, submitting the application form could be difficult, so please leave yourself plenty of time before the deadline to submit all necessary materials.

○ Even after the end of the application deadline or auditions, if the SPO finds a reason to disqualify a candidate, the decisions of the SPO can be reversed or nulled.

○ If submitted documents have been concluded to be fake, based by the 「Fair transactions in employment process」 11th clause, the submitted documents via website will not be returned.
