[솔솔 feat. 차해랑 (SolSol feat. Cha Hae-rang)] 

솔솔은 동심(童心)을 주제로 활동하며, 어린이와 어른 모두를 위한 편안하고 선한 음악을 만드는 듀오이다. 정가 가객 조윤영과 작곡가 김여진으로 구성되어 있으며, 특별히 이번 Gugak in 人 프로젝트는 거문고 연주자 차해랑, 스트링 콰르텟과 함께한다.

SolSol is a duo that centers its music around the theme of "childhood innocence," aiming to create calming and heartwarming melodies that resonate with both children and adults alike. This duo is comprised of traditional Korean vocalist Cho Yoon-young and composer Kim Yeo-jin. Notably, in the Gugak in People project, they join forces with geomungo player Cha Hae-rang and a string quartet for a special collaboration.

[곡 소개 Work Description] - 무등이왓에 부는 바람 (Wind Blowing on Moodeungi-wat) | 작곡/김여진·조윤영, 작사/김장성

이 곡은 듀오 솔솔의 ‘노래와 그림책’ 첫 번째 작품으로, 제주 작가 김영화의 그림책《무등이왓에 부는 바람》에 부치는 곡이다. 《무등이왓에 부는 바람》은 ‘제주 4·3’의 슬픈 영혼들을 위로하는 그림책으로, ‘4·3’의 ‘잃어버린 마을’ 중 하나인 서귀포시 안덕면 동광리 무등이왓에서 제주의 예술인들이 조 농사를 짓고 술을 빚어 넋들에게 바치는 과정을 그렸다. 그림책의 편집자인 김장성이 쓴 시에 솔솔이 선율을 붙인 이 곡은 아픔을 기억으로 승화시켜 그날의 넋들과 오늘의 우리를 다독이고픈 마음을 정가의 차분한 선율과 거문고의 울림, 피아노와 현악 콰르텟의 풍성한 연주로 담았다.

This song marks the debut of the SolSol duo's "Songs and Picture Books" series, paying tribute to the book "The Wind Blows at Moodeungi-wat" by Kim Young-hwa, a Jeju-based author. "The Wind Blows at Moodeungi-wat" serves as a comforting narrative for the grieving souls affected by the "Jeju 4/3" tragedy, an uprising in Jeju that claimed many lives. The book illustrates the process in which Jeju's artists cultivate crops and brew alcohol at Moodeungi-wat in Donggwang-ri, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, which was one of the "lost villages" during the "4/3" incident. The song, featuring lyrics penned by Kim Jang-sung, who also serves as the book's editor, is brought to life through SolSol's musical composition. It aims to transform 

the pain into a cherished memory, embracing the spirits of that time and our present selves with the soothing melodies of traditional instruments, the resonant tones of the gayageum, and the rich performance of the piano and string quartet.

[장소 Location]

〈무등이왓 터 Moodeungi-wat Location〉

무등이왓은 서귀포시 안덕면 동광리 230번지 일대로, 잃어버린 마을 터 흔적이 비교적 잘 남아 있는 곳이다. 마을 규모가 컸던 만큼 4·3사건의 피해도 컸다. 대나무 숲과 팽나무들을 통해 옛 마을의 구조를 살펴볼 수 있으며 4·3사건의 아픔을 기억하고 있는 곳이다.

Moodeungi-wat is situated in Donggwang-ri, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, on Jeju Island, where you can still find relatively well-preserved remnants of the lost village. This village was once of significant size, and as a result, it endured significant hardship during the 4/3 incident. The area is covered by bamboo forests and pine trees, providing an opportunity to explore the layout of the former village and serving as a place that memorializes the pain of the 4/3 incident.

〈오라동 메밀밭 Ora-dong Buckwheat Field〉

관음사에서 1100로로 이어지는 중산간 길목에 자리한 오라동 메밀밭은 계절에 따라 청보리나 메밀꽃밭으로 바뀌며 아름다운 자연을 자랑한다. 특히 관광객에게 다양한 포토스팟으로 인기가 많다.
