[음악그룹 HUM(Music Group HUM)] 

음악그룹 HUM은 한국 전통 선율의 아름다움을 그 들만의 감성으로 세계와 소통하기 위해 노력하는 네 명의 남성 연주자로 이루어진 국악 그룹이다. 이들은 판소리· 가야금·아쟁/철현금·장구 연주자로 이루어져 있으며, 한국 전통 음악 그대로를 좀 더 편안한 사운드로 사람들에게 다가가기 위해 노력하고 있다.

Group HUM is a Korean traditional music ensemble made up of four male musicians who aim to share the beauty of Korean traditional melodies with their own unique sensibilities on a global scale. The group consists of performers of pansori, gayageum, ajaeng/cheolhyeonggeum, and jang-gu, and they aim to make Korean traditional music more accessible to people through the soothing sound while staying true to the grammar  of Korean traditional music.

[곡 소개 Work Description] - 육자배기(Six Beats)

Six Beats는 짙은 그리움을 주제로 한 노래로 어린 시절 한없이 다정했던, 하지만 지금은 뵐 수 없는 외할머니를 모티브로 삼았다. 그리움의 대상이 여름밤 부채를 부쳐주며 재워주던 다정한 모습으로 곡이 시작하고, 화자인‘나’는 그리운 분을 생각하며 다시 볼 수 없음과 그 시절로 돌아가고 싶은 마음을 노래하다 마지막은 화자가 성장하여 다른 누군가의 그리움의 대상이 되는 순환 구조를 지니고 있다. 음악그룹 HUM 멤버들의 유기적 하모니로 그리움의 정서를 흐드러짐 없이 빌드업하고 풀어나가기 위해 노력했다.

"Six Beats" is a song that explores the theme of profound yearning. It takes its inspiration from the writer's grandmother, who showered them with endless affection during their childhood but is now no longer with them. The song opens with a portrayal of the grandmother, who used to fan during sweaty summer nights and lull him to sleep, evoking a strong sense of nostalgia. Throughout the song, the writer, referred to as 'I,' expresses the longing to see his missed loved one and a deep desire to return to those cherished moments spent with his grandmother. Towards the end, the song encapsulates the cycle of the writer's growth, eventually becoming the subject of someone else's yearning. The members of the music group HUM put in much effort into skillfully conveying these emotions of longing, seamlessly weaving them through their organic harmonies.

[장소 Location]

〈세연정 Seyeonjeong〉

세연(洗然)이란‘주변 경관이 물에 씻은 듯 깨끗하고 단정하여 기분이 상쾌해지는 곳’이란 뜻이다. 고산연보(孤山年譜) 에서는 1637년 고산 윤선도가 보길도에 들어와 부용동을 발견했을 때 지은 정자의 명칭이라 하고 있다. 정자의 중앙에 세연정(洗然亭), 동쪽에 호광루(呼光褸), 서쪽에 동하각(同何閣), 남쪽에 낙기란(樂飢欄)이란 편액이 걸려 있으며, 또 서쪽에는 칠암헌(七岩軒)이라는 편액이 따로 걸려 있다.

The term "Seyeon" refers to a place where the surrounding scenery is so pristine and orderly that it has a mood-refreshing effect, as if it has been washed clean by water. According to the "Gosan Chronicle," it is said that in 1637, when Yun Seon-do arrived on Bogildo and stumbled upon Buyongdong, he gave the name "Seyeonjeong" to the pavilion situated in the center of the garden. There are four signs attached to it, each facing one of the four directions. To the east, it bears the inscription "Hogwangru," to the west "Donghagak," and to the south "Nakgilan." Furthermore, to the west, there is another sign that reads "Chilamheon."
