권역별 선발을 통해 전통예술의 영역을 확장하고, 가능성을 탐색하며

온라인 공간에서의 감각적이고, 창조적인 활동을 위한 

영상 교육, 제작을 지원하는 '국악 크리에이터 양성' 프로젝트입니다.

The “Gugak Artist Lab” initiative, launched by the National Gugak Center, aims to support traditional artists and encourage the development of online content rooted in traditional arts.

This endeavor focuses on fostering “Gugak Creators” by offering support in video education and production. It seeks to enrich and broaden the scope of traditional arts, exploring new possibilities and expanding its reach through regional programs and the inclusion of international participants. The project emphasizes creative and sensory experiences in the digital realm, paving the way for innovative expressions of traditional art forms.

[작품소개/ Introduction]

도시의 흩어진 가락을 모아 만든 박선주의 두 번째 12현 가야금 창작곡집, '도시 산조(Scattered melodies of the city)'. 한국의 도시들이 가진 각기 다른 소리와 모습과 그 성질을 담아낸 이 작품은 박선주의 가야금 연주와 함께 보컬리스트 ChiVee, 래퍼 2TAK PINSCHER, 비트박서 LUPAGNG, 일렉트로니카 뮤지션 팻햄스터(Fat Hamster) 각자의 개성있는 반주가 더해진 네 개의 곡이 모여 하나의 짧은 산조(Sanjo)를 이룬다.

1. 구운(九雲) (Feat. ChiVee)

김만중의 《구운몽》(九雲夢)에서 따온 구운. 흩어진 도시의 사람과 건물들 그리고, 하늘에 떠 있는 아홉개의 구름의 고저(高低)를 한 갈래씩 엮어나가는 곡.

2. 서울야성 (Feat. 2TAK PINSCHER)

매일 찾아오는 서울의 아침과 흘러가는 밤까지의 시간 동안 보이든 보이지 않든, 별은 그 자리에 있다.

3. 너울모리 (Feat. LUPANG)

너울 [명사] 멀리서 밀려온 긴 파장의 물결,

모리 [명사] 〈음악〉 빠르게 몰아가는 것.

4. Black Harbor (Feat. 팻햄스터)

더 밝게 빛났던 항구가 더 어둡게 빛바랜다.

This composition is titled “Urban Sanjo (Scattered Melodies of the City)”, the second collection by Park Sun-joo for the 12-string gayageum. 

It captures the unique sounds, visuals, and characteristics of different Korean cities. The piece showcases Park Sun-joo's mastery on the gayageum, complemented by an eclectic mix of artists: vocalist ChiVee, rapper 2TAK PINSCHER, beatboxer LUPAGNG, and electronic musician Fat Hamster, each adding their distinctive flair. These four tracks blend seamlessly to create a unified, brief Sanjo experience.

1. Nine Clouds (Feat. ChiVee)

This piece, titled "Nine Clouds," takes its name from Kim Man-jung's novel "Guunmong" (Dreaming of Nine Clouds). It intricately blends the various ups and downs of city life, capturing the essence of both the scattered people and buildings, as well as the nine clouds adrift in the sky, into a harmonious musical composition.

2. Seoul Neonlit Night (Feat. 2TAK PINSCHER)

From the break of each morning in Seoul to the end of every night, the stars remain in their place, whether seen or unseen.

3. Neoul Mori (Feat. LUPANG)

Neoul: [Noun] A swell of long-wavelength waves arriving from afar

Mori: [Noun] In music, a technique characterized by rapid and forceful playing

4. Black Harbor (Feat. Fat Hamster)

The harbor, once aglow with bright lights, now dims into darkness.
