영상 교육, 제작을 지원하는 '국악 크리에이터 양성' 프로젝트 입니다.

The “Gugak Artist Lab” initiative, launched by the National Gugak Center, aims to support traditional artists and encourage the development of online content rooted in traditional arts.

This endeavor focuses on fostering “Gugak Creators” by offering support in video education and production. It seeks to enrich and broaden the scope of traditional arts, exploring new possibilities and expanding its reach through regional programs and the inclusion of international participants. The project emphasizes creative and sensory experiences in the digital realm, paving the way for innovative expressions of traditional art forms.

[작품소개/ Introduction]

이 뮤직비디오는 동양과 서양, 두 개의 다른 세계가 음악이라는 보편적 언어를 통해 어우러지는 이야기를 담고 있다. 도깨비 두 명은 각각 동양의 전통적인 장구와 서양의 클래식한 피아노를 대표하며, 이들의 합주는 문화와 영혼의 교차점을 탐구한다. 

숲의 균형이 깨어지자, 두 도깨비는 정령들의 분노와 슬픔을 느끼고 이를 해소하기 위해 나선다. 장구를 두드리는 도깨비와 피아노를 연주하는 도깨비의 모습은 서로 다른 리듬과 멜로디가 하나의 조화로운 곡을 이루어 나가는 과정을 아름답게 그려낸다. 이들의 음악은 점차 숲에 울려퍼지며, 정령들의 충돌하는 에너지를 하나로 묶어내고, 갈등의 색들을 하나의 아름다운 무지개로 변화시킨다.

뮤직비디오는 정령들의 화합이 완성되는 순간, 도깨비들이 도깨비 문을 통해 인간 세계로 향하는 모습으로 마무리된다. 그들은 인간 세계의 갈등을 해결하고자 하는 사명감을 안고, 숲속의 화합의 멜로디를 가지고 인간 세상으로 나아간다.

이 작품은 단순히 두 문화의 만남을 넘어, 세계적인 화합과 이해의 필요성을 강조한다. 도깨비의 장구와 피아노 합주는 음악을 통해 교감할 수 있는 우리 모두의 능력을 상징하며, 이야기는 우리 각자가 다른 문화와 영혼을 이해하고 받아들이려는 노력이 세계를 변화시킬 수 있다는 희망의 메시지를 전달한다.

The goblins' janggu and piano duet represents our innate capacity to connect through music, and the story conveys a hopeful message that our efforts to understand and embrace diverse cultures and spiritualities can change the world. It features two goblins, each representing the traditional Korean drum (janggu) from the East and the classical piano from the West. Their ensemble explores the intersection of culture and spirit. 

When the balance of the forest is disrupted, the two goblins feel the anger and sadness of the spirits and set out to alleviate them. The scene of one goblin playing the janggu and the other playing the piano beautifully illustrates the process of different rhythms and melodies forming a harmonious piece. Their music gradually fills the forest, uniting the conflicting energies of the spirits and transforming the colors of conflict into a beautiful rainbow.

The video culminates with the goblins stepping through a magical portal into the human world, marking the restoration of harmony among the spirits. With a sense of mission to resolve conflicts in the human world, they carry the melody of harmony from the forest to the human realm. 

This work goes beyond just the meeting of two cultures; it emphasizes the need for global harmony and understanding.
