[오주하 OH!JUHA]

오주하는 소리꾼 황애리와 재즈피아니스트 배가영이 만나 결성한 재즈 판소리 듀오이다. 듣는 이의 일상에 자연스럽게 녹아들어 새로운 무드를 만들어낸다. 오주하의 음악은 뿌리는 단단하지만, 물결이 잔잔하게 일렁이는 듯한 담백한 노래와 연주가 특징이다.

OH!JUHA is a jazz-pansori duo, featuring pansori singer Eri Hwang and jazz pianist GaYoung Bae. The duo creates music that integrates into the daily lives of the audience and brings an air of freshness. OH!JUHA’s music is characterized by vocals and piano playing that are firmly rooted in tradition, yet also relaxing and unpretentious just like waves rolling gently in and out.

이 곡은 남도민요 봄타령을 판소리 황애리와 재즈피아노 배가영이 재해석한 곡입니다. 자연에서 느낄 수 있는 싱그러움과 새싹이 푸릇푸릇 피어나는 이미지를 떠올려볼 수 있는 곡으로 봄을 기다리며 느끼는 아지랑이, 새소리, 소박한 들꽃들을 노래하는 밝고 편안한 음악입니다.

OH!JUHA’s “Spring Taryeong” is a reinterpretation of a Korean folk song that has the same title, featuring “pansori” (a genre of traditional musical storytelling) singer Eri Hwang and jazz pianist GaYoung Bae. Evoking the freshness of nature with the first buds appearing in spring, “Spring Taryeong” is a piece of relaxing and light-hearted music that sings about shimmering air, birdsongs and rustic wildflowers in spring.

[장소 Location]

대명헌 Daemyeongheon House 

1898년 백범 김구 선생이 강화도에 피신해왔을 때 약 3개월간 머무르며 서당을 열었던 근대 한옥이다. 영국식 디자인의 헤링본 스타일 마룻바닥, 스테인드글라스 등 전통 한옥과는 다른 실내 장식으로 꾸며져 있다.

Daemyeongheon House is a modern “hanok” (a traditional Korean house), where Kim Gu (pen name: Baekbeom), one of the leaders of the Korean independence movement, stayed for about three months and opened a village school when he fled to Ganghwado Island in 1898. The interior of the house has several design features that cannot be found in conventional hanoks, such as English herringbone-patterned flooring and stained glasses.
