[반디 VANDI]

반디는 세계 민속악기를 다루는 멀티인스트루멘털리스트 이경구, 월드퍼커션 유병욱, 작곡가 겸 기타리스트 조영덕이 함께하는 월드뮤직 트리오이다.

한국은 물론 세계를 돌며 각 나라 아티스트와의 교류를 통해 느낀 감성과 테크닉을 악기에 접목하고, 여러 전통음악을 융합하여 각기 다른 악기의 독특한 연주기법을 활성화 하였다. 또한 자연을 관찰하고 그 속에서 창조적 영감을 얻어 반디만의 독창적인 음악세계를 구축하고 있으며, 곡 마다 다양한 악기 구성으로 신비로운 반디의 음악스타일과 사운드를 선보인다. 

VANDI is team formed by world musical imstrument players, Kyungu Lee, Byung-Wook Yoo and a jazz guitarist, Young-Deok Jo. 

Our music is based on our experiences through touring many different countries, learning their approaches and tequenics to their own curtural perspectives. 

We play various formats of instument settings on each song inspired by the beauty of natural. We interpret and estblish our musical repatoire with our experimental, unique sound.

[곡소개 Work Description]

블랙홀 Black hole / 작곡 이경구 유병욱 조영덕 composed by Lee Kyung-Gu, You Byoung-Wook, Jo Young-Deok

한국의 무율타악기 동해안장구와 유럽의 유율타악기 핸드팬의 조화를 이루는 곡으로, 동해안 별신굿 특유의 복잡하고도 변화무쌍한 가락에 몽환적이 핸드팬 선율이 어우러져 블랙홀에 빠져드는 듯 한 느낌을 표현하였다. 단조로우면서도 중독성 강한 핸드팬 멜로디에 장구는 즉흥적으로 반응하며,

일렉 베이스는 일차원적인 반주의 개념을 넘어 2박, 3박, 5박, 10박 등 복잡한 혼합박을 넘나들며 하나의 타악기와 같은 역할로 연주의 흥을 더한다. 

The “janggu” drum, a traditional Korean non-pitched percussion instrument, and the handpan, a European pitched percussion instrument, mix well in this piece of music. The complex, ever-changing beats of the drum, characteristic of “Donghaean Byeolsingut” (Village Ritual of the East Coast) mingle with the dreamy tunes of the handpan to create the feeling of being pulled into a black hole. The janggu responds, in an improvised way, to the monotonous yet addictive melodies of the handpan. The electric bass provides more than a simple accompaniment: it also serves as a percussion instrument by using complex beats, such as 2, 3, 5 and 10 beats, which add to the excitement of the music.

신설동 2호선 비영업 승강장

'유령역'으로 불리는 서울 지하철 1·2호선 신설동역의 미사용 승강장이다. 옛 70년대 모습을 그대로 간직하고 있어 서울시가 지정하는 ‘서울 미래유산’으로 선정됐다.

Unused Platform at Sinseoldong Station (Subway Line 2)

Also known as the “ghost station,” this platform at Sinseoldong Station (Subway Lines 1 and 2) has not been in operation since its construction. Bearing the traces of the 1970s, the platform has been selected as a “Seoul Future Heritage” site by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
