[융복합 예술단체 트레드 Convergence Art Company TRADD]

융복합 예술단체 ‘트레드(TRADD)’는 Tradition(전통) + Trade(주고받다) + Add(더하다)를 합친 합성어로 ‘우리 것을 함께 나누고 더하다’라는 의미를 담고 있다.

우리나라의 전통예술을 다른 예술 분야와 함께 나누고 또 더하여 장르 간의 구분 없는 융복합 예술을 만드는 것을 목표하고 있다. 시대의 흐름에 맞게 다양한 형태와 매체를 가리지 않는 혁신적인 예술 작업을 할 것이다. 도전적인 시도를 통해 대중들에게 신선한 충격을 선사하고자 한다.

TRADD is an interdisciplinary artist group. The group’s name came from the words “tradition,” “trade” and “add,” and implies the sharing and adding of what one has.

TRADD pursues interdisciplinary arts through which Korean traditional arts and other types of arts interact with each other. Its members are engaged in creating innovative works of various forms and media in order to adapt to current trends. In addition, they are making efforts to impress the audience in a novel way through ambitious attempts.

[곡소개 Work Description]

무굿_해원하여 영(寧)하다 Exorcize_Unwinded Embitter

삶의 안녕을 위해 신들께 제를 올리고 진쇠 가락과 기원을 담은 춤으로 여러 신들을 불러 모은다. 그리고 그 신들이 액기를 물러나게 한다.

무굿_해원하여 영하다(Exorcize_Unwinded Embitter)는 삶 속의 원통한 감정들을 풀고, 이를 신명으로 승화시켜 편안한 삶을 살고자 하는 마음을 담은 작품이다. 특히 이 작품에서는 코로나 바이러스 감염증-19를 치병하기를 바라는 마음을 담았다.

A ritual for the gods is performed for the well-being of people. With a “jinsoe” rhythm and dancing, a prayer is offered to the gods for warding off misfortunes.

“Exorcize_Unwinded Embitter” expresses a yearning to live a peaceful life by sublimating feelings of unfairness and resentment into gaiety. In particular, the piece conveys a wish for the COVID-19 crisis to end.

온달산성 Ondalsanseong Fortress in Danyang

단양 온달산성은 충청북도 단양군 영춘면, 남한강이 보이는 성산의 정상부근을 돌로 둘러쌓은 산성으로 대한민국의 사적 제 264호로 지정되었다. 단양군의 고구려 관련 테마파크인 온달관광지에 속해있으며, 매년 단양온달문화축제가 열린다.

Located at Yeongchun-myeon, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, the “Ondalsanseong Fortress in Danyang” (Historic Site No. 264) is a mountain fortress consisting of stone walls surrounding the peak of Seongsan Mountain which overlooks Namhangang River. The fortress is situated within Ondal Tourist Park, a theme park about the Goguryeo kingdom. Every year, the Danyang Ondal Culture Festival is held in the area.
