[박신혜 Park Sin Hye]

박신혜는 전통을 기반으로 가야금의 다양한 확장을 시도하고 있다. Korean Classic Ensemble TALE 소속으로 다양한 장르와 음악적 교류를 경험하였고, 최근 솔리스트로 활동을 시작하며 정규 앨범 [On the string]을 발매하였다. 박신혜는 다양한 감정들에 집중하고 섬세한 연주를 통해 전달한다. 그리고 그 연주를 통해 지금을 살아가는 사람들과 소통하고자 한다. 

Park Sin Hye has been seeking to unravel new possibilities of the gayageum based on tradition. When she was a member of the Korean Classic Ensemble TALE, she experienced various genres and musical exchanges. Recently, she has started to perform a solo and released a regular album On the String. Park focuses on various feelings and conveys them via delicate performances, through which she intends to interact with people living here and now.

[곡소개 Work Description]

물의 춤 Water Dance / 작곡 조은영 Composed by Cho eun young

25현 가야금과 우두드럼으로 구성된 〈물의 춤〉은 ‘물’의 다양한 움직임을 가야금과 우두드럼으로 표현한 창작곡이다. 곡의 중심을 이루는 주제 선율의 반복과 변형을 통해 주제의 확장을 느낄 수 있다. 오른손의 연튕김, 집기 그리고 왼손의 농현, 추성, 퇴성, 전성 등 가야금의 전통 주법과 시김새가 적용되었고, 활발한 리듬 진행이 특징적이다. 우두드럼은 가야금과 리듬을 주고받고, 악기 안에 담긴 물의 소리를 통해 입체적인 사운드를 만들어간다. 

“Water Dance” is an original piece expressing various water movements through the 25-string “gayageum” zither and the “udu” drum. The themes from the piece develop by way of repetition and variation. The music employs traditional playing methods of the gayageum, such as flicking or plucking the strings with the right hand and pushing the strings with the left hand in various ways. It also features vibrant progression of rhythms. The udu drum exchanges rhythms with the gayageum while water inside the drum gives a spatial effect to the drum’s sound.

주문진 방사제, 소돌아들바위 공원 Junmunjin Breakwater, Sodol Park

강원도 강릉시 영진해변에 위치한 주문진 방사제는 드라마 ‘도깨비’ 촬영지로 유명해진 곳으로, 주인공 지은탁과 도깨비 김신이 처음 만나는 장소로 등장한다. 

소돌아들바위공원은 지각변동으로 인해 지상에 솟은 바위를 감상할 수 있는 공원으로, 거무튀튀하고 날카롭게 각진 바위가 마치 힘센 수소를 연상케 하여 ‘소돌’이라는 마을 이름을 상징한다. 소바위, 코끼리 바위 등 자연 형성된 신기하고 기괴한 바위들이 전시되어 있다..

Junmunjin Breakwater is located at Yeongjin Beach, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do. The place became a popular attraction after its appearance in the TV series Guardian, where heroine Ji Eun-tak and goblin Kim Shin meet for the first time.

Sodol Park is characterized by soaring rocks that were formed by geological events. The blackish and angular rocks are reminiscent of strong bulls, which are closely related to the name of the nearby village “Sodol” (literally “Bull Rock”). Naturally formed rocks with strange shapes, including those looking like the bull and the elephant, are exhibited in the park.
