〈피아노와 대금을 위한 "청"(淸, Blue for Daegeum and Piano)〉

전통 대금곡인 ‘청성곡(淸聲曲)’을 기반으로 작곡가 '김대성'이 작곡한 곡으로, 청성곡의 선율과 작곡가가 만든 선율 그리고 피아노의  화려한 화음과 장식음이 어우러진 작품이다. ‘청성곡’의 고요함, 명상성과 더불어 격정적인 음악적 움직임은 이 곡을 만드는 중요한 단초가 되었으며, 명상, 격렬한 움직임, 다시 명상으로의 회귀 순으로 구성되어 있다. 피아노 반주 부분도 전통음악의 긴장과 이완의 원리에 맞게 긴장된 화음, 이완된 화음을 곡의 흐름에 맞게 구성되어 있으며 리듬의 진행도 마찬가지 방식으로 구성되어 있다. 대금이 세계 속에서 보편적인 악기로 인식되기를 바라는 마음으로 작곡되었다.

Based on the traditional Korean daegeum song "Cheongsunggak," this piece by composer Kim Dae-sung combines the melody of Cheongsunggak with the composer's own melody and colorful chords and ornaments on the piano. The tranquility and meditative nature of Cheongsunggok, along with its energetic musical movements, served as the basis for this piece, which is organized in the following order: meditation, energetic movement, and a return to meditation. The piano accompaniment is also organized according to the principle of tension and relaxation in traditional music, with tense chords and relaxed chords to match the flow of the piece, and the rhythmic progression is organized in the same way. It was composed with the hope that the daegeum would be recognized as a universal instrument in the world.
