판소리, 꽃같은 삶들의 잔치 화연(花宴) PANSORI Feast of life overwhelmed with joy and sorrow, like flowers. "K-마에스트로"는 2021년 개원 70주년을 맞이하는 국립국악원이 세계적으로 높아진 K-문화의 위상에 발맞추어 국악무대의 영역을 더욱 확장하고자 무형의 예술인 전통음악과 유형의 예술인 공예를 융합한 무대를 선보이는 프로젝트입니다. 서민들 삶의 희로애락부터 선비들의 풍류 정신에 이르기까지 천년을 이어 온 우리의 소리가 일상 문화가 담긴 생활공예, 품격 있는 예술공예와 함께 세계의 마당으로 나아가는 첫 시도입니다. "K-마에스트로"에는 해학과 풍자로 서민들의 삶을 그려낸 ‘판소리’, 은유와 상징이 가득한 시조로 풍류를 즐기는 ‘가곡’, 긴장과 이완의 멋이 교차하는 ‘산조’가 있습니다. This project integrates traditional Korean music with craft. From ordinary people’s emotions to virtuous scholars’ pungnyu* spirit, this is the first attempt for Korean music that has gone on for a thousand years to go out into the world in conjunction with living craft useful in our everyday lives. K-Maestro is designed to unfurl a new chapter within the venue for the Craft Trend Fair 2021, the representative Korean craft exhibition, with crafts that meet three gugak genres ‘pansori’, a genre that portrays the lives of ordinary people with humor and satire ‘gagok’*, a genre that enjoys pungnyu through traditional Korean poems replete with metaphors and symbols and ‘sanjo’, a genre that showcases the juxtaposition of tension and relaxation. (Art Director: Kang Shin Jae) 〈Hall 1 Pansori〉 Just as each flower in full bloom has its own shape and scent, and it is shriveled up with time, so does our life. I portrayed a scene of breezes seeping into the blurred slope of life enveloped in mist. Knots tied or untied in different styles are a metaphor for life, reciting human emotions through a vocalist’s sound and changes in light.
