[한사코 Hansako: Music That Enriches a Story]

이야기를 수식하는 음악, 한사코.

한사코는 전통 음악의 뿌리와 근본을 기반으로 그 안에서 도전적이고 실험적인 창작 작업을 지향하는 단체이다. 각 연주자들의 음악적 해석을 담아 곡을 만들며 창작 범위의 시야를 넓히고 한계를 넘어 창작하는 것을 지향한다.

The members of Hansako pursue music that is firmly rooted in tradition and yet also challenging and experimental. The band’s pieces are based on unique interpretations of each musician, who seeks to broaden the scope of creating music.

[곡소개 Work Description]

動, 사적인 봄 / 작곡 이은희 지유정 오초롱 김솔지

(動, Private Spring / Composed by LEE EUN HEE, GI YOO JEONG, OH CHO RONG, KIM SOL JI)

움직일 동. 마음과 소생이 움직이는 봄.

이 곡은 〈낙양춘〉에 출현하는 진행 선율 중 한 마디를 모티브로 만든 곡이다. 한 마디로 출발한 네 명의 연주자는 각자의 선율로 서로 엮여간다. 또, 장중한 음악 속에 숨어 있는 구슬픈 가사를 원곡과 반대로 감정을 극대화시켜 표현하고자 한다.

Spring, when everything comes back to life. Spring that stirs your heart.

This piece is based on a measure of melody from a Korean court music piece “Nagyangchun” (Spring in Luoyang). The parts played by each of the four musicians are closely interwoven into a harmonious whole. In addition, their music expresses, to the extreme, the solemnity of the melodies and the melancholy of the lyrics of the original piece.

사창미효황앵어(紗窓未曉黃鶯語)

동이 트지 않았는데 꾀꼴 꾀꾀꼴 

꾀꼬리 울음소리 울려오네.

향로에 쇠잔한 향 줄기 다 타 버리고

비단 장막에 보내우고, 간 밤 삼경에 맺힌 이슬

수 놓은 발에 비 내린다.

(lyrics) 

Although the sun has not risen yet,  

I hear the fluty singing of orioles.

A stick of incense has burnt out in a burner.

After spending a night in a silk tent, I see morning dew.

Has it rained last night.

얼굴박물관

연극 연출가 김정옥이 지난 40여 년간 수집해온 석인, 목각인형, 도자기, 유리 인형과 사람의 얼굴을 본 따 만든 와당과 가면 등을 한자리에 모아 구상한 ‘사람과 얼굴’의 공간이다.

The Museum of Face

The Museum of Face is a space for “people and their faces,” bringing together stone statues, wooden dolls, ceramics, glass figurines, roof-end tiles that look like human faces, masks and so forth. All of the exhibits have been collected by theatre director Jeong-ok Kim for the past 40 years.
