[박자희 Park Ja Hee]

박자희는 차분하면서도 자신만만하고, 적절히 익은 성음과 쌓아온 공력으로 소리를 갖고 놀 줄 아는 여유로운 무대를 보여준다. 특히 적벽가에서는 특유의 장엄함과 비장함을 잘 표현하고 작곡자이자 첼리스트 최정욱의 첼로가 일고수 이명창((一鼓手 二名唱))의 역할을 충분히 해내며 환상적인 어울림을 낸다.

Park takes full command of the music by drawing upon her calm yet confident voice and her long experience. The vocals effectively convey grandiosity and solemn determination specific to “Jeokbyeokga,” and the cello creates a fantastic harmony with the vocals by serving as another “myeongchang” (a great singer).

적벽가 불과 바람의 노래 song of the red cliff ; the song of fire and wind

판소리 다섯 바탕 중 예로부터 흔히 남성들의 소리로 여겨졌던 적벽가는 관우가 조조를 죽이지 않고 너그러이 살려주는 적벽대전을 이야기한 소리이다. 박자희의 적벽가 ‘불과 바람의 노래’는 때로는 강하게 때로는 섬세하고 구성지게 표현하며, 개사 없이 원전 그대로의 소리를 살려 스펙터클한 긴장감을 첼로와 함께 들려준다. 구성은 적벽화전에서 새타령으로 이어지며, 창자는 특히 새타령에서 표현되는 죽은 군사들의 원혼 소리가 하루하루 견뎌내며 바쁘게 지금을 살고 있는 우리의 모습과 비슷하다고 느껴 위로와 여운을 담아 노래한다.

“Jeokbyeokga” (Song of the Red Cliffs) has long been regarded as a piece of “pansori” (a genre of traditional musical storytelling) for male singers. To the accompaniment of the cello, Park Ja-hee sings the piece, sometimes powerfully and sometimes subtly, without changing its original lyrics and with spectacular tension. The music begins with “Jeokbyeok Hwajeon,” a song about the famous fire attack during the Battle of Red Cliffs, followed by “Sae Taryeong” (A Bird Song). Singing the latter, Park consoles the vengeful spirits of dead soldiers, who are not so different from us.

태안 파도리 해수욕장, 파도리 해식동굴 Jeju Stone Park

태안군 소원면 파도리 지역은 태안반도에서 바다로 돌출된 지역으로 파랑의 영향을 강하게 받는 지역이다. 따라서 파도가 강한 지역에서 나타나는 여러 가지 지형 경관들이 잘 나타난다. 태안 일대에서 많이 볼 수 있는 모래 해변과는 달리 파도리에서는 파랑의 세기가 강하여 자갈 해변이 나타나며, 파랑의 침식 작용으로 형성된 해식애, 파식대, 해식동, 시아치 등이 형성되어 아름다운 해안 경관을 보여준다. 

Pado-ri, Sowon-myeon, Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do is an area in Taean Peninsula which sticks out into the sea and which is strongly affected by the waves. Thus, it has a geological landscape specific to areas with strong waves. Unlike the sand beaches often found across Taean-gun, the Pado-ri area has a pebble beach due to strong waves. The area also presents a beautiful costal landscape, including sea cliffs, wave cut benches, sea caves and sea arches that have been formed through the process of erosion by the waves.
