[이화&선보미 (Lee Hwa & Sun Bo-mi)]

소리꾼 이화는 전통 판소리의 본질을 놓지 않으며 자신만의 색채로 창작 세계를 구축하는‘노래하는 소리꾼’이다. 노래는 노래답게, 소리는 소리답게 틀에 갇히지 않고 자유롭게 본연의 색을 살린 소리를 추구한다. 한국예술종합학교 전통예술원 졸업하고 현재 국가무형문화재 판소리 전수자이다.

작곡자 선보미는 전통적 색채를 기반으로 국악에서부터 가요까지 다양한 장르의 곡을 만들며 창작활동을 이어가고 있다. 중앙대학교 국악대학에서 작곡을 전공하였고, 국립국악관현악단원 역임, 작사, 작곡한 2021 1집 ‘나로하여’, 2022 2집 ‘한마디’를 발매했다.

대금 연주자 정지훈은 중요무형문화재 제45호 대금산조 이수자로서 전통음악을 바탕으로 다양한 장르의 음악 활동을 하고 있다. 또한, 국악의 대중화를 위해 유튜브 ‘죽도령TV’ 채널을 운영하며 다양한 연령대에 맞춤형 콘텐츠를 제공하며 국악의 친근함을 알리는 작업을 하고 있다.

Lee Hwa is a singer, or a “Sorikkun”as it is called traditoinally in Korea, who builds her creative world with her own colors, without losing the essence of Pansori, a traditional form of singing. She pursues a sound that is free from constraints and maintains its natural color, singing a song as it should be sung. She graduated from the Korea National University of Arts' School of Traditional Arts and is currently a successor of Pansori, an intangible cultural heritage of Korea.

Composer Sun Bo-mi continues her journey of creative activities, composing songs of various genres from Korean traditional music to pop music, all based on traditional colors. She majored in composition at the College of Korean Music at Chung-Ang University and served as a member of the National Gukak Center Orchestra. She wrote and composed songs in her first album 'Narohayeo' released in 2021 and her second album 'Hanmadi' in 2022.

Daegum player Jung Ji-hoon is a successor of Important Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 45, Daegum Sanjo, and has been involved in various genres of music mostly based on traditional music. In addition, he runs the YouTube channel 'JukdoreongTV' to popularize Korean traditional music, providing customized content for various age groups and working to promote the approachability of Korean traditional music.

[곡 소개 Work Description]

이화에 월백하고(The White Moon Rises As the Pear Blossoms Bloom)

〈이화(梨花)에 월백(月白)하고〉는 고려 후기 이조년의 시조에서 영감받아 작곡되었다. 도입부는 마치 가객이 노래하듯 아정하게 시조를 읊조리며 시작한다. 배꽃이 핀 봄날 밤, 하얗게 비친 달을 보며 깊어지는 외로움과 애상함을 청아한 음색과 호소력 짙은 성음으로 노래하였으며, 쓸쓸한 마음을 한껏 고취 시키는 건반과 대금 선율의 조화로 고즈넉한 여운을 표현하였다.

“The White Moon Rises As the Pear Blossoms Bloom” was composed, drawing inspiration from the Sijo (traditional Korean three-verse poem) of Lee Jo-yeon from the late Goryeo period. The introduction begins as if a traveler is softly reciting a Sijo. It sings of deepening loneliness and sorrow while observing the white moon on a spring night when pear blossoms are blooming. This is conveyed through a clear timbre and a voice filled with persuasive appeal. The solitary sentiment is heightened by the harmony of piano and daegeum (traditional Korean bamboo flute) melodies, expressing a serene aftertaste.
